UNISON is the largest recognised trade union in Coventry City Council with approximately 2500 members. Nationally UNISON has 1.3 million members.

What does UNISON offer members?

• Advice, support and representation in meetings: This includes, enabling attendance policy, disciplinaries and grievances.

• Terms and conditions: UNISON negotiates with the Council on your behalf to achieve the best outcomes for members on issues such as pay, pensions, restructures and reviews.

• Learning and education: UNISON promotes educational opportunities and runs courses for members. Grants are also available in some cases.

• Welfare support – ‘there for you’ – UNISON is the only union with its own charity supporting members through difficult times. We also have links with credit unions for affordable credit and money advice.
