UNISON #Learning & #Education Update

Standard

UNISON Learning & Education… It is important that during this pandemic we keep well and look after our mental health. Engaging in learning, improving your skills and continuing with your education is a great way to keep your mind active and your spirits up.

UNISON learning offers free and discounted online courses to all members and we regularly post information about learning, funding and educational opportunities on our learning website.

Visit https://covunisonlearning.wordpress.com/ for the latest information about a Grief and Bereavement Training and Support to Carers course. These sessions are 2.5 hours and delivered by the charity Cruse.

Any queries relating to workplace training, learning, or further education or if you are interested in becoming a Union Learning Rep in your workplace, contact the Branch office on 02476 550829 or email: office@unisoncoventry.co.uk

Message from UNISON West Midlands – Branch Education Team – #Learning Opportunities for #UNISON Members

Standard

If you are interested in any of the courses simply go to our website www.learninunisonwm.org.uk and once you have registered you can apply online. Or if you prefer you can contact the Regional Education Team and we can advise you of other ways to apply.

UNISON understands that this is a difficult and challenging time for our members. We want to help as many members as possible learn new skills that will help them in both work and their personal lives. The support of a UNISON courses or learning resource could play a vital role in helping you to take the first step to a better future and year for us all in 2021.

Best Wishes

UNISON West Midlands

Save Union Learning!

Standard

The government has decided to scrap Union Learning Fund from March 2021. In 2019–20, the ULF was worth £12m. It supported more than 200,000 learners in workplaces across England – both union members and non-members.

This decision will effectively end union-brokered skills training and will undermine key government skills and retraining priorities at a crucial moment for our economy. UNISON and her sister unions believe this decision is counterproductive and must be reversed.

Please sign the petition to stop the government attack on our education.
