Second ‪#‎wearecov‬ Unity Statement from Coventry Unite Against Fascism

The open letter from the Bishop of Coventry, the Right Reverend Dr Christopher Cocksworth and Sabir Zazai, Director of Coventry Migrant and Refugee Centre to the so called English Defence League to clearly tell them that they are not welcome in Coventry comes as a welcome boost to the campaign to stop the racist EDL marching in our beloved diverse and peaceful city.

It is now vital that all those that are appalled by the Islamophobia and racism of the EDL demonstrate that we are the majority and that they are not welcome here.

Let us send a clear message to the EDL and anyone that they may influence that we are proud of our culturally diverse city and that we will not be divided islamophobia and racism.

We invite all those that support this statement to join us on Saturday 21st May at 11.30 in Broadgate to say We Are Cov – EDL Not Welcome Here.
