Stand Up To Racism is organising a Trade Unionists for Calais summit to bring together trade unionists and others to report back on the recent delegation to Calais.
The two delegations have been attended by up to 100 trade unionists from unions including the NUT, UCU, Unison, PCS, RMT and more.
Trade Unionists for Calais is a dayschool to discuss how we can build on these initiatives and extend them throughout the trade union movement.
We want to develop practical solidarity, including for the Calais convoy on 11 June. But the aim is also to strengthen anti-racist arguments in our unions that challenge the myths around immigration.
The summit will take place on Sunday 24 April, 11am-5pm (Registration from 10am) Student Central, Malet Street, London WC1E 7HY (nearest tube: Euston).
